My Neighbours The Dumplings opens second site

My Neighbours The Dumplings has just opened its second site in Victoria Park, London E9.

On the back of the success with the Clapton restaurant, the new eatery is serving up the brand's popular dumpling dishes such as Scallop & Spinach, Siu Mai Classic - Pork and Prawn, Prawn Har Gau, and the veggie Shitake Mushroom.

Beyond these established favourites, the Victoria Park branch is offering barbecued skewers, xiaolongbao - a type of Chinese steamed bun - and similar filled bao bun, baozi.

There are sweet dumplings too - Chocolate dumplings with vanilla pod ice cream and homemade salted caramel, and Warm black sesame mochi.

Like the Capton site, the Victoria Park restaurant offers is a dumpling kitchen during the day and then half of the space turns into a bar at night.

For beverages, there's a sake menu, along with cocktails, beer, wine and a range soft drinks and teas.

Former head chef Trung Nguyen, who recently returned to London from a year working in San Francisco, is heading up the kitchen, along with master dumpling chef, Carol Lee.

Founder Bec Wharton said on instagram of the opening, 'To see both restaurants up and running - full of faces having a good time - it was an overwhelming response. It really is hard to believe how we managed to get here and how this has all happened.'
