CESA Conference looks into the future with 2020 vision

The 2019 CESA Conference is already shaping up to be a ‘must’, with a fascinating programme looking into the future of the foodservice equipment industry.

With a theme of ‘2020 Visions’, speakers include futurologist Rohit Talwar, who will gaze into the latest hi-tech equivalent of a crystal ball and give insight into 2020 and beyond. In an interactive session, he will discuss future proofing in the foodservice industry.

“The current market is incredibly unpredictable,” says John Whitehouse, chair of CESA. “The aim of the 2019 Conference is to get leading experts to give us their insight, to help create the context to build business.”

Following the success of the inaugural Titans of Industry session last year, the 2019 Conference sees another group of three big hitters focusing on a key up and coming trend. This time they’ll consider the potential and impact of connectivity.

Conference will also tackle the thorny issue of the skill shortage, as HR expert Kevin Green (pictured) looks at staff recruitment, training and retention.

The CESA Conference is run in association with the FCSI. The detailed programme will be unveiled in the coming months.

Meanwhile, in a change to the normal schedule, the CESA AGM, which previously followed the speaker programme, has been moved to the afternoon of the first day of the event. It will now take place at 3pm on Wednesday 13 November, after the golf and activity sessions, and before the informal dinner.
