Central England Co-op set to open new Staffs store


Central England Co-operative has today revealed the launch date of its brand new Food Store in Tamworth, Staffordshire, which will bring over 20 new jobs to the local area.

The Society will officially open its new store in Brooklime Way, at 9am on Friday, 29 November.

A special opening offer will give shoppers the opportunity to grab a free Costa Coffee when they register an email address to celebrate the launch of the new store.

Special eco-friendly fridges and lighting have been installed to back up the retailer’s eco-friendly ethos and the store's kiosk is now in situ.

The new convenience store will offer shoppers an expansive range of products and will be fitted out with pioneering new energy efficient refrigeration technologies to minimise environmental impact and LED lighting.

The Brooklime Way Co-operative food store will be open from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.

The store will offer fresh and fruit and vegetables, an in-store bakery offering breads and pastries, chilled beers and wines, fresh and frozen product, Irresistible product ranges, Costa Coffee machine and a great selection of food to go.

The store will feature a free water refill station, a phone charging area and customer seating inside and outside of the store. It also offers Lottery, Paypoint, Collect Plus, foreign currency, customer toilets, a free car park and a free cash machine.

Brooklime Way Central England Co-operative Store Manager, Paul Murray said, “This is a very exciting time for everyone in the team and preparations for the big day are well under way.

“There will be a great buzz on opening day and to celebrate the food store launch we will have plenty of special opening offers, and I will be surprising some lucky shoppers with free entry tickets to Drayton Manor Park’s Magical Christmas as a thank you for being a part of our big day.

“We will also be talking to customers about membership and how we can support in the local community. We look forward to seeing you there.”
