Deliveroo for Business introduces new event & catering service

UK’s leading food delivery service, Deliveroo has unveiled a new package of catering services for corporates, enhancing its Deliveroo for Business (DFB) offering.

The UK is the first market globally to launch the new services, which bring together all the ways Deliveroo transforms workplace events by helping companies plan and manage food and beverages for events and experiences.

Now working with over 10,000 clients around the world, DFB provides bespoke food delivery services for offices, from events like intimate office gatherings to multi-day conventions.

This entirely new service includes food and beverage catering, a dedicated event co-ordinator, set-up and more. Whether for company parties or team off-sites, DFB will work collaboratively with businesses to design and create tailor-made events and experiences based on their team needs, providing a variety of cuisines and menus.

The new event packages are DFB’s latest addition to its line-up of products. Most recently, DFB introduced its van delivery option, which ensures food from various restaurants from Deliveroo’s 300 caterers in the UK are picked up and delivered efficiently so teams can enjoy their meals at the same time.

These DFB orders are highly attractive to restaurant partners, given they increase average basket sizes and improve the bottom line. DFB also offers a pop-up restaurant arm, allowing companies to easily book more than 50 pop-ups across London for larger team functions.

The new line-up of offerings was launched in response to feedback from businesses DFB currently works with. So far this year, DFB has organised over 9,500 corporate events in the UK, including a single order worth £40k for a large corporate client. The UK is DFB’s largest market globally, with catering order volumes growing more than 110% this year versus 2018.

Juan Diego Farah, Global Head of Deliveroo For Business, commented, “launching the Deliveroo for Business Catering Service was a natural next step for us, and we’ve worked hard to ensure we have the right supply of restaurants, catering and drinks partners to ensure any foodie occasion in the office is done right.'

Dean Stobbart from Coco Di Mama, a major DFB catering partner, said, “We love the DFB Catering Service because it enables us to receive larger and more profitable orders to our stores. These orders are freshly handmade before the lunch rush so it’s perfect for our teams during the slow periods of the day.”
