Benitos Hat falls into administration

Mexican casual dining chain, Benito's Hat, which launched in 2012, has fallen into administration.

The chain has four sites left after closing four restaurants at London's O2, King’s Cross, Bromley and St Albans. There are three in London - Covent Garden, Oxford Circus and Farringdon, plus a fourth at Oxford Westgate shopping complex.

Appointed administration firm, Begbies Traynor has confirmed that the sale of the four remaining sites had been reached with DGMP UK.

The administrators said it was anticipated that the four sites would recommence trading from the four sites as Benito’s once restaurants are allowed to reopen.
