Nirvana Spa has won approval to build a 70-bed hotel at Winnersh near Reading, Berkshire, with the creation of 100 jobs.
The current section which houses Pulse 8 gym will be demolished and replaced with the hotel, which will have its own gym in the basement.
The new hotel will also have a restaurant and conference facilities.
Additionally, the plans include an outdoor swimming pool between the existing building and the new hotel.
On the top of the building there will be a communal roof garden, solar panels and private amenity roof space for the presidential suites.
