Cheshire-based Beelivery is looking to create 20,000 jobs at its Congleton grocery delivery service, including vacancies in logistics, IT and customer service.
Launched in February 2015, Beelivery provides deliveries as quick as 15 minutes using crowd-sourced delivery drivers.
The company delivers products from fresh and frozen meals, snacks and alcohol, and home cleaning products.
Beelivery currently deliver in more than 80 towns and cities across UK and internationally across major cities worldwide.
Lee Parkinson, Beelivery CEO and Co-founder, said, “Since lockdown started in March and people were shielding and self-isolating in their own homes, our quick delivery service proved to be a lifesaver for many people across the UK.
“We launched the company in 2015 to support people with limited mobility, and for those who simply appreciate the convenience and quick turnaround of a grocery delivery, but we have been able to provide an essential service to thousands of people during lockdown.”
Chairman and co-founder, Yazan Bin Mohammad said, “Due to our unique logistics model, with immense network of localised drivers, we operate the largest nationwide service of this kind, supporting cities, towns and villages UK-wide with delivery of grocery essentials, as well as other confectionary and snacking items.
'To be of additional assistance at this time of self-isolation, we have expanded our delivery fleet further to ensure that we meet the vastly growing demand.”
