WingShack to expand with 5 new London outlets

WingShack has today announced a huge expansion to their brand, opening five new locations in London along with two sites outside of the capital in 2021.

Following the opening of their third location on Selfridges & Co’s 4th floor last year, the famed poultry group are pressing on with their ambitious expansion plans, and will set up shop in Brixton, Bromley, Finchley, Camden, and Soho, along with Manchester and St Albans, all to open by the end of the year.

Following the overwhelming success of the restaurant’s first opening in Loughton in 2017, WingShack has been growing across the capital over the last few years, and can be found at Camden’s Good Mixer, the iconic Selfridges & Co, along with delivery kitchens in Canary Wharf, Battersea and Clerkenwell. Now, the restaurant group are making their most ambitious expansion to date, taking their wares outside the capital for nationwide domination.

Josh Jarvis, who set up WingShack Co with his two friends, said, “It’s been a crazy year for everyone, but I really believe it’s been a year of opportunity for us. We’ve managed to remain positive throughout and so many great opportunities have arisen for us to expand our business quicker than we could’ve imagined.

'We are extremely confident about our brand and can’t wait to open our planned stores so more people can have that Wing Shack experience. I am especially excited about our site in Brixton as my business partner is from Brixton and grew up there, which gives it an authentically local touch.”

The restaurant’s famed poultry bites have become a popular mainstay on the London food scene, and the new openings will serve a menu similar to WingShack’s sister sites.

Paying homage to their beloved chicken wings, the kitchen team use flavours from across the world to create their distinct, much-loved sauces. Featuring everything from classic marinades like BBQ and Southern Fried Chicken, guests can also enjoy: Mango Mazzaline, a sweet mango sauce; Honey That’s Mustard!; and Jarv’s Tangy Buffalo.

Elsewhere on the menu expect chicken-based options, such as burgers: Banging Buffalo Burger (fried chicken thigh, fresh lettuce, pickled cucumber, chives, buffalo sauce and blue cheese sauce), Eat My Thighs (Southern fried chicken thigh, chilli mayo, coleslaw, melted cheese & fresh lettuce), and Jerk Burger (Jerk chicken thighs, plantain, fresh lettuce, tomato, melted cheese and chilli mayo).

Veggies need not worry, as The Big Halloumi (traditional Greek halloumi, marinated portobello mushroom, tomato relish, hummus, sliced onion and fresh lettuce), and the Jackfruit Smoky BBQ Burger will satisfy any comfort food cravings.
