Choppaluna hits top spot on TripAdvisor

Fresh food-to-go and dine-in brand, Choppaluna is now ranked the number one healthy restaurant in Bloomsbury, London on TripAdvisor, just seven months after opening the first flagship UK restaurant in October 2020.

Co-founder and CEO Nikras Agha said, “We are thrilled to see that our first UK restaurant is resonating with local consumers, who are looking for a super-healthy, delicious dining experience that offers guilt-free indulgence. The Choppaluna team are doing a really great job to generate such positive reviews and are outperforming established brands.”

The brand is the most recent creation from Hero Brands, which also includes German Doner Kebab, and is already transforming and revolutionising the healthy eating space.

Choppaluna is here to show that salads don’t have to be boring and to bring customers a guilt-free indulgent menu of vegetarian and vegan options, and a huge choice of superfoods morning, noon and night, including delivery.

The vibrant experience allows customers to choose from over 60 fresh toppings before watching the brand’s talented team chop live in front of their eyes.

Choppaluna’s breakfast menu brings low-carb, high energy options like scrambled egg wraps, Breggfast Rolls, and Smoothie Bowls, whilst its flavour exploding salads provide the perfect balance of incredible taste, nutrition and energy. On the menu customers will also find Choppaluna’s Big-Rolls, where salad meets burrito and offers a more filling option for lunch and dinner.

Following the launch of its restaurant in Bloomsbury, the brand opened its next site in the city centre of Berlin in March 2021 and further growth and franchise recruitment will come during the next 12 months.

Agha, who conceived the idea in Berlin with his co-founder Bijan Azadfard, said, “It’s very exciting to see our first restaurant in Bloomsbury, London recognised in this way by our growing customer base.. Now, we want to target the top spot for the whole of London.

“Choppaluna is revolutionising the healthy eating space in the capital, bringing customers indulgent healthy options that fit with a fast-paced on-the-go lifestyle. It’s clear that what the Choppaluna team are doing is resonating with our target market and they are doing a really great job to generate such positive reviews and are outperforming established brands in the area.

“Following the launch of our first flagship store in Bloomsbury we opened a further site in Berlin early this year and are currently looking at two other sites in London. The opportunity is truly resonating with our franchise network within the Hero Brands group. We have sold another 60 franchise units across the UK in just six months of opening and we will continue to explore opportunities for growth throughout the country.”

Hero Brands is focused on building the food brands of the future and brings a leadership team assembled from the world’s leading global food and beverage brands.

Athif Sarwar, Hero Brands CEO, said. “Hero Brands is responding to emerging consumer trends and focused on growing the brands of the future.

“Eating-out is changing and younger consumers are demanding a shorter dwell time, great-tasting healthier food and an aspirational-experience that is shareable on their social channels.

“Choppaluna responds to this trend and we are working very closely with Nikras and the team to continue to develop the brand and a proposition that truly disrupts the healthy eating space, like we are seeing in Bloomsbury.

“We are excited to see the early success of the first flagship restaurant and will continue to bring Choppaluna unrivalled industry expertise and backing to truly grow the brand throughout the UK and global regions.”

Choppaluna currently offers takeaway, click & collect and delivery through Deliveroo, Just-Eat and Uber Eats. A full dine-In experience will be offered from the restaurant once Government restrictions allow.
