Shepherd Neame brings back popular Cask Club

Shepherd Neame is bringing back its popular real ale initiative Cask Club this month, with new brew Rebel Flame (pictured).

A 4.5% tropical IPA, Rebel Flame is deep golden in colour with an alluring combination of floral, mango and citrus aromas courtesy of its six hop varieties.

Combining Cascade, Centennial, Amarillo and Mosaic from the US, with native Challenger and Boadicea from the UK, Rebel Flame boasts pleasant well-rounded malty notes, finishing with a touch of spice. The limited edition cask ale will be available throughout August.

Head Brewer Mike Unsworth said, “We are delighted to launch our first Cask Club beer of 2021, continuing our efforts to encourage more people to enjoy what we believe is one of the best drinks in the world.

“Rebel Flame taps into the growing demand from drinkers who want to try something new, but from a trusted brand. This tropical IPA offers a different flavour and character to our core cask range, and we are confident it will appeal to a wide range of drinkers.”

The Faversham-based brewer and pub operator launched Cask Club in 2019, with a new cask ale released each month, celebrating modern styles and flavours, with exciting recipes and classic seasonal favourites.

The initiative highlights Britain’s oldest brewer’s continued passion for innovation and seasonality, offering loyal fans different tastes, while also attracting new cask ale drinkers.

Along with inventive tastes, the look and feel of the Cask Club brands take a fresh approach, with dynamic design and bright colours for ultimate stand-out on the bar.
