Norwich pub unveils £500k refurb & new menu

Stonegate-owned The Oak Tree, Norwich has opened its doors to guests once more, following a £500k investment. The fresh, new look for The Oak Tree marks a new chapter in the pub’s history and sees ten jobs created in the local community.

The new look Oak Tree has a modern-rustic feel with bags of character. From quiet, secluded nooks to the light and airy conservatory and buzzing bar area. There's a quirky feature wall, and eclectic collection of tableware and furniture.

The pub has a generous garden area and this has been given the same expert treatment, and includes heated, enclosed areas, new tables and chairs, umbrella and lights.

The Oak Tree also reopens with a brand new menu, which includes a Christmas buffet and set menu, from traditional turkey to flavour-filled vegan options. There is also traditional afternoon tea that comes with a festive twist and is available daily between 12:30 and 4:30pm.

On Sundays, The Oak Tree is now serving Sunday roasts with all the trimmings and bottomless Yorkshire puddings. Food is served from 10am to 9pm daily, making The Oak Tree the perfect place to pop in for lunch or dinner any day of the week.

The pub has an extensive drinks menu which includes a selection of ales and a Gin of the Month special to enjoy in front of the wood burning stove in a cosy wingback armchair.

It also offers both Sky and BT Sports on five large TV screens in the comfortable bar area.

Miranda and Andrew (surnames withheld), General Managers of The Oak Tree, said, “We are so excited about the future of The Oak Tree. The team love the pub’s new look and can’t wait to show people around every time a new visitor walks in the door. The new menu is delicious and truly has something for everybody.

“It is a new chapter and we cannot wait to see The Oak Tree go from strength to strength. We are delighted to welcome guests, events and the local community again.”

The Oak Tree is open for both Christmas Day and Boxing Day lunch.
