Francesco Mazzei partners with Malfy Gin for Fiume summer terrace

From 24 May, the riverside terrace at Fiume, Francesco Mazzei’s Battersea restaurant, will be transformed into a southern Italian oasis.

In partnership with Malfy Gin and Ortigia Sicily, menus will offer bespoke gin cocktails and dishes from Francesco inspired by Ortigia’s classic scents of bergamot, orange blossom, lime and fig.

The summer terrace at Fiume will offer guests a taste of the Amalfi coast in London, with recipes that pay homage to the coastal cuisine of southern Italy. From the menu, light sharing dishes will include:

Carpaccio di gamberi rossi di Sicilia - Sicilian red prawn carpaccio
Polpo alla piastra - Octopus, spicy papa al pomodoro, capers and olives, pomegranate
Calamari alla griglia - Grilled calamari, watercress pesto, chilli jam, Sicilian lime
Fritto misto all’Italiana - Italian croquettes and stuffed courgette flower, rose petals

Situated on the banks of the Thames at Battersea Power Station, Fiume’s large piazza-style terrace will conjure up sites, tastes and scents of the southern Italian countryside and seaside towns, with exteriors dressed by Italian soap and fragrance company, Ortigia Sicilia, and bespoke cocktails from drinks masters Malfy Gin.

The Malfy Gin cocktails:
Essenza di Bergamotto - Malfy Original, Belsazar Dry Vermouth, Italicus, Bergamot
A’Malfy al Tramonto - Malfy Gin Rosa, Mancino Sakura Vermouth, Prosecco, Strawberry, Rose
