500-year-old Pinner hotel changes hands

The Tudor Lodge Hotel, an established 3-star, 44-bed hotel and restaurant in the London Borough of Eastcote, Pinner has been sold via Christie & Co to a successful London-based restaurateur and hotelier.

The Tudor Lodge Hotel is situated on Field End Road, in a Grade II-listed building that was built some 500 years ago and offers an abundance of charm and character.

The hotel is just moments away from Eastcote’s range of retail premises, restaurants and cafés, as well as Eastcote Underground Station, connecting it to Central London and Heathrow Airport.

The business was acquired by Ruchir Gupta of Siya Properties through Christie & Co in 2010. Having established several successful businesses in Europe and the United States, he decided to put the hotel up for sale to concentrate his efforts on expanding his operations abroad.

The new owner, Gurvinder Sethi brings with him a wealth of experience in the restaurant industry and operates a chain of hotels in London. He plans to expand the business by adding additional rooms and covers to the existing restaurant.

Andrew Evangelou, Director and Head of London Hotels at Christie & Co, brokered the deal and commented, “We are pleased to announce the sale of this charming hotel on behalf of our client, who we have established an excellent relationship with, now having sold four hotels on his behalf.

“The sale represented a rare opportunity to acquire a freehold period building in an affluent area within Greater London and we are sure the incoming owner will make an excellent success of this already established business.”
