New sandwich concept to launch at Ducie Street Warehouse in Manchester

Super Happy, a new collaborative sandwich concept from the owners of baking firm, Batard, is set to launch at Manchester's Ducie Street Warehouse next Wednesday 2t September.

This concept will bring together the expertise of Lewis Loughman (previously of Gooey), Katey Mack (previously of Wolf House), and Sally Higginbottom (previously of Pollen) to create sandwiches that are carefully considered, from the bread up.

For fans of Batard’s previous residency at Seesaw. Super Happy will play on the strong flavours and accessible dishes that made that residency so popular, whilst bringing in new bread items and a more ambitious menu.

The launching menu will see deli staples like the famous combo sandwich served on a house-made hoagie roll, as well as a kimchi hot dog (pictured) on a newly developed potato-brioche bun.

Additionally, Super Happy is working closely with Wildfarmed, a regenerative farming company founded by Groove Armada’s Andy Cato and C4 presenter George Lamb.

They will be using Wildfarmed in all their bakery products, their Turkish breads, hoagie rolls and their signature choux pastry crullers. Wildfarmed use regenerative farming methods to go beyond eco-consciousness and attempt to fix a farming cycle suffering from decades of ecological damage.

An exciting addition to Manchester’s destination hub, Ducie Street Warehouse, Super Happy will take residency at its blue-tiled deli concept at The Counter - perfect for passers-by, locals and guests of the warehouse to grab-and-go, or to enjoy in the lounge.

Super Happy will open from Wednesday 21st September - the opening hours will be 9:00am - 4:00pm, seven days a week.
