Sam Harrison and Fanny Stocker, owners of acclaimed West London restaurant, Sam’s Riverside, has opened a second Sam’s Larder site, this time on Turnham Green Terrace in Chiswick, W4.
Having opened his very first restaurant, Sam’s Brasserie in Chiswick in 2005 which closed after 10 successful years, Sam is excited to be returning to his motherland.
A very welcome addition to Chiswick’s burgeoning food and drink scene, Sam’s Larder will provide the Chiswick neighbourhood with an expansion of their deli-cum-grocer model complete with an eat in and takeaway café.
Born out of lockdown, the first Sam’s Larder opened in August 2020 directly behind the restaurant on Crisp Road in Hammersmith, W6,, and was created as a food lovers hub in the absence of any restaurant visits.
Sam’s Larder champions artisan producers which are all handpicked by Sam and Fanny and includes a range of wine.
Bespoke to Sam’s Larder are signature ready meals, Frozen by Sam’s Riverside. A collection of seven savoury meals, one seasonal crumble and various seasonal ice creams, all are made to Sam’s Riverside recipes by their in-house chefs, offering a restaurant standard meal for anyone to enjoy at home.
The selection currently includes signature favourites including Goan Chicken Curry and Marvellous Mac n’ Cheese. Popular for that mid-week meal you just can’t face making yourself, or to buy in bulk for a pending dinner party (passed off as your own of course) and even good enough for the kids … Sam’s Frozen is one to watch.
Designed by Design LSM with modern day tastes in mind, the glass fronted window allows natural light aplenty, and wooden wishbone chairs and matching tables create a clean and simple finish.
The marble counter provides a focal point for the various lunch options available, as well as fresh bakes, bread and coffee, all of which can be enjoyed on the hoof or at the tables provided.
In the evening, Sam’s Suppers offers a refined menu of small plates, bowl food and a select choice of Sam’s favourite wines by the glass and is available from 5pm to 8pm, Tuesday– Saturday.
