Manchester's The Lowry Hotel appoints new General Manager

The Lowry, a five-star luxury hotel in Manchester, has appointed Victoria Mashman as its new general manager, taking over from Adrian Ellis.

Marshman comes to The Lowry from her recent role as regional operations director at Native. With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, primarily in hotel management and operations, she brings a wealth of expertise to her new position.

Earlier this year, Adrian Ellis, the former general manager of The Lowry, announced his retirement after a 40-year career in the industry.

Marshman said: “The Lowry Hotel is a pillar in the Manchester community, inspired by the city’s spirit and character.

“I’m delighted to be appointed as general manager of the hotel and to have the opportunity to not only drive towards commercial goals, but also to ensure the smooth and exemplary running of the hotel itself. I intend to do everything in my power to ensure our guests have an exceptional, five-star experience with us with every visit.”

Ellis said: “After 10 years of leading this incredible team through some of the most challenging times we’ve ever faced in hospitality it was incredibly important to me that we found someone that would pick up the reins and continue to uphold the amazing standards we’ve strived to maintain.

He added “The Lowry Hotel is an institution in the city that delivers an authentic and uniquely luxury experience to every guest whilst ensuring the hotel itself is run to a premium standard across all faculties.”
