The Weekly National Influenza and COVID-19 Report: week 43 report (up to week 42 data) 22 October 2020,from Public Health England, has highlighted where the most COVID-19 infections are taking place outside of home settings.

Educational settings still account for the highest proportion of reported incidents.

The breakdown by setting type is a follows:
• 327 in educational sites where 252 had at least one linked case that tested positive
• 311 care homes where 210 had at least one linked case that tested positive
• 262 incidents were from workplace settings where 189 had at least one linked case that tested positive
• 166 incidents were from the other settings category where 111 had at least one linked case that tested positive for SARS-CoV-2
• 75 in hospitals where 60 had at least one linked case that tested positive
• 33 incidents (equivalent to 2.7%) were from food outlet/restaurant settings where 26 had at least one linked case that tested positive
• 9 in prisons where 7 had at least one linked case that tested positive
