Texan sandwich brand Which Wich is set to make its Scottish debut in Edinburgh and Glasgow following the appointment of new franchise partners.
In July, Which Wich partnered with Breaking Brands Management Ltd on a multi-unit franchise deal to enter Wales and grow its UK footprint.
Which Wich opened its first UK site in London’s West End in 2018. In 2023, the customisable sandwich chain announced plans to open 30 UK stores within three years.
Rami Awada, UK master franchisee, said: “Edinburgh and Glasgow have thriving food scenes and strong demand for innovative fast-casual concepts. Our new partners saw the potential immediately and we’re actively seeking more franchisees who recognise the power of our proven model to drive strong sales and repeat traffic.”
Which Wich was established in Dallas in 2003 and has since grown to operate close to 230 locations across the US.
Which Wich confirmed it continues to seek franchise partners in targeted regions across the UK.
The brand’s latest expansion push comes on the heels of Bristol-based Sandwich Sandwich opening its third London location, on Tottenham Court Road, earlier this week.
Several North American brands, among them Popeyes, Wendy’s, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Chick-fil-A, and Raising Cane’s, have also intensified their UK-wide growth strategies.
