Three industry leaders to launch new Soho wine bar

Three industry leaders are set to launch a new wine and cocktail bar, 68 and Boston in Greek Street, Soho at the end of September.

Eric Yum, founder of bar, nightclub and restaurant operator Breakfast Group; Martin Malley, owner of Planet of the Grapes; and Luca Cordiglieri, UK Bartenders’ Guild president, have created the new venue across two levels complete with a neighboring restaurant which will create a bespoke menu of bar food. The downstairs will be an all-day wine bar and will feature a vast list of quality wines, while the upstairs will be a late night cocktail bar offering classics and orginals.

Commenting on the opening, Eric Yu said: “We have named the wine bar ‘68’. There are 67 wine producing nations in the world. We want to encourage people to choose their wines adventurously and try regions and grape varieties that are unfamiliar to them, and so 68 will stretch their horizons that bit further. Upstairs, ‘Boston’ will be a loungy, late night destination with an authentic cocktail bar ambience.”
