Las Iguanas posts growth in annual turnover

The Casual Dining Group's restaurant brand, Las Iguanas has reported turnover grew to £53.4m from £47.1m in like-for-likes, for the year ending 28 March 2015.

Pre-tax losses rose to £1.7m from £1.6m as a result of interest payable on investor loans and administrative expenses, including £800k of pre-opening and launch costs.

The company reported that underlying pre-tax profit stood at £3.7m, down by about £100k on the previous year.

During the period, Las Iguanas opened four restaurants swelling its estate to 38 at the year end.

Following further openings, the group operates 44 sites, with plans for ten new outlets in total in the 2015/16 financial year.

The Casual Dining Group (CDG) acquired Las Iguanas in a deal valued at circa £85m in July last year.
