The Cornish Bakery has secured a seven-figure funding package with plans to expand with eight further new cafe-bakeries this spring, creating 180 jobs.
The chain rebranded from Pasty Presto in December last year and the Clydesdale Bank funding package has already seen it introduce the new branding to stores across the UK.
Initial results have shown that the changes have been positive, with the company achieving an increase in turnover in excess of 10% for the last financial year.
In addition to the eight outlets planned, the funding has enabled two new sites to open already at the NEC, Birmingham and Tintagel in Cornwall, bringing the estate to 29 sites.
The company opened its original shop in Mevagissey, Cornwall in 1994, and it now employs over 200 people.
