Taxi-app company, Uber is set to enter the food delivery market in the UK with its new service, UberEats.
The group is currently recruiting a team of bicycle and scooter drivers in London ahead of an official launch.
Uber already offers the service in 16 major cities around the world, and will soon be taking on food delivery firms like Deliveroo and Hungry House.
A spokesperson for Uber said, “UberEats has been hugely popular in every city around the world we have launched it in, so the fact we are exploring the UK market shouldn’t come as a surprise. We’re always looking at what other services we can bring to the market here.”
