Hall & Woodhouse plans £3.25m pub in Kent

Hall & Woodhouse is planning to open a new pub in the picturesque small town of Cranbrook in Kent. The company is to invest over £3.25m in the site, and 35 jobs will be created.

The group is to canvass the local community for suggestions for a great country pub name - but say 'Pubby McPubface' will get short shrift.

Delays in granting planning, as a result of detailed design discussions, mean the pub is unlikely to open until April 2017.

However, the chain say that having been around for 239 years 'they know it's worth waiting a couple of extra months for a really fantastic country pub.'
