Ceru to open first permanent site next month

A contemporary Levantine all-day restaurant is opening in South Kensington this November, serving dishes and drinks inspired by the flavours of the eastern Mediterranean coast.

Following successful fundraising, Ceru Restaurants has secured its first permanent site in Bute Street, South Kensington.

The brand has previously appeared as a pop-up and was created by Stephen Gee, co-founder of Carluccio’s and former chairman of Gaucho and Iberica, and Barry Hilton, from Black & Blue and Yalla Yalla.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu will offer a selection of classic mezze alongside grilled meats, healthy, vibrant salads and desserts.

Signature dishes will include lamb shoulder slow-roasted for over 5 hours in a secret blend of twelve fragrant spices; an apple, pomegranate and mint salad, with pea shoots, pine nuts and green chilli; and lamb kebabs, marinated in rosewater and served with rose and mint tzatziki.
