Care UK to open £6.4m care home in Sevenoaks

Care UK is to create up to 109 jobs at a new £6.4m 80-bed care home called Weald Heights due to open in Sevenoaks early next year.

The home is set to be the group's flagship development, and when complete will incorporate both super premium rooms and an upgraded dining and activities offering.

Mike Parish, CEO of Care UK, commented, “The home has been sensitively designed to accommodate the needs of the residents. When complete, the three-storey, purpose-built care home will boost the provision of quality residential, dementia and nursing care for up to 80 older people, as well as creating jobs in the local community.'

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives while promoting independence, the new care home in Sevenoaks, Weald Heights, will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities.

The layout of the building will facilitate the creation of close knit communities and will be configured into a series of individual suites with a dedicated lounge and dining room. Each bedroom will have an en-suite bathroom, together with a flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed, and a 24-hour nurse call system.
