Michelin star chef, Steve Drake, has secured the lease to the Grade II-listed property for his new restaurant in Dorking, Surrey.
Drake, who achieved Michelin stars at two Surrey restaurants, will be launching his new restaurant, Sorrel, in the Surrey town this spring.
Drake stated on his website that Sorrel will serve 'the very best of British food and seasonal ingredients'.
Drake gained his first Michelin star in 2001 at Drake's on the Pond in Abinger Hammer, also in Surrey, before moving on to open Drake's in Ripley where he held the star for a further 14 years.
Co-owning with his wife at the time, Steve left Drake's in August last year following their divorce. However, he still owns The Anchor pub in Ripley, which he purchased in 2013.
