GBK signs up at revamped Maidstone leisure & entertainment scheme


Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) has agreed a new 25-year lease for a 3,145 sq ft (292 sq m) unit at the leisure and entertainment scheme.

The site has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment and improvement works since it was acquired by Kames Capital in December 2015.

Anchored by Odeon, Hollywood Bowl and trampoline park operator Gravity, Lockmeadow is also occupied by David Lloyd, Frankie & Benny’s, The Feathers and Burger King.

Ric Tsang, assistant fund manager at Kames Capital, commented:,“We’re delighted to welcome Gourmet Burger Kitchen to Lockmeadow. The leisure scheme hosts a wide range of tenants and is proving to be extremely popular.”

Kames Capital was represented by Savills and Carlene Hughes, associate director in the leisure team at Savills, added, “Lockmeadow has an established role as Maidstone’s premier leisure destination and we are very pleased to have secured this deal with GBK. There is now just one remaining restaurant unit to let at the scheme.”
