New head chef at Fenchurch, Sky Garden


The former head chef at The Square, Daniel Fletcher, has been appointed head chef of Fenchurch Restaurant, Sky Garden’s refined dining restaurant operated by leading events company, Rhubarb.

Fletcher worked under Phil Howard as head chef for over two years during which The Square held two Michelin stars.

Overseeing a team of 17 that includes the newly appointed Senior Sous Chef Liam Fauchard-Newman from The Ledbury, and Sous Chef James Southern, also from The Square, Fletcher will develop and execute a new menu that reflects his impeccable training.

Fletcher has worked with some of the country’s most talented chefs including; Tom Kitchin at The Kitchin, Edinburgh, and Britain’s youngest Michelin-starred chef Tommy Banks at the Black Swan restaurant in Fletcher's home county of Yorkshire. He has also held several roles in restaurants in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

Daniel Fletcher commented, “I am extremely excited to join the rhubarb team and embark on this new journey on the 37th floor of this iconic building. My cooking style is fresh, clean flavours with beautiful presentation - and I very much hope guests will enjoy it.”
