Michael Caines to host special dinner at newly opened Lympstone Manor

To launch the 25th edition of the South West’s most prestigious guide to dining, newly opened Lympstone Manor and Michael Caines will be hosting a very special Trencherman’s dinner at the hotel on 8 May.

Caines will be marking this quarter century edition of the guide by bringing together some of the South West’s finest and most talented chefs including Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, Hywel Jones and Anton Piotrowski.

The chefs, will together with Caines, will prepare an eight-course menu with carefully selected matching wines. The evening will be hosted by Michael with Trencherman’s Guide editor Jo Rees.

Caines said, 'Trencherman’s celebrates exquisite, creative cooking and pitch perfect service, and it’s what the guide has stood for since it was created by a small group of chefs 25 years ago.'

Lympstone Manor is a new luxury country house hotel which opened in April 2017. Once a private home, the Grade II listed Georgian property is set in 28 acres of Devon countryside with unrivalled views of the Exe Estuary.

To create Lympstone Manor, chef patron Michael Caines has worked with Architect Rud Sawers to create the hotel layout and extension and with Meraki, a dynamic London-based design duo, whose sophisticated interiors bring warmth and style to the hotel while reflecting the poetic beauty of the surrounding area.
