Gusto to open first restaurant in London

The Gusto restaurant chain is to create 50 jobs at its first restaurant in London, due to open in Chislehurst in August.

Gusto offers lunch and dinner on a menu of largely contemporary Italian dishes such as Grana Padano Risotto and Caprino Pizza. However, one of Gusto's bestseller is The Gusto Burger - served a brioche bun with melted mozzarella and fries.

There is a wine menu, but the brand is well-known for its 50 cocktails, which range from classics to signature drinks, like Watermelon Martini - fresh watermelon juice, Green Mark vodka, fresh lemon juice & watermelon syrup, and Cha Cha Cha - Green Mark vodka, cherry marnier, vanilla syrup, milk & cream shaken with chocolate sauce & fresh red chilli.

Sue Crimes, managing director for Gusto, said, “We’re thrilled to be opening our first London-based Gusto. Chislehurst is the perfect fit for our brand and we think that those working and living locally will really enjoy the excellent food, drinks and atmosphere that we provide.'

The company currently operates 17 restaurants across the north of England and Scotland, including those in Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, York, Glasgow and Edinburgh (pictured).
