Palatine Private Equity-backed The Alchemist is to invest £4.5m in three new bars due to open in Bristol, Cardiff and Nottingham by next April, taking its total number of sites to 15.
Following a £1.6m investment, the The Alchemist Nottingham will open on the former Hard Rock Cafe site on King Street in December 2017. The bar will be situated over two floors and will cover 6,500 sq ft.
The Cardiff site will open next March and will be situated in a former NatWest Bank on St Mary Street. This will be the first Welsh venue for the Alchemist, with a total investment of £1.6m across the 5,900 sq ft site.
The Alchemist Bristol will be located on Queen’s Road and will undergo a £1.3m refurbishment. Spanning over two floors, the 5,200 sq ft site will open in April 2018.
