M&B launches Flypay & voucher redemption into branded apps

Mitchells & Butlers is integrating Flypay’s faster payment platform, into the functionality of all its branded apps, together with leading the market by also incorporating Eagle Eye’s voucher redemption technology at the point of payment.

In partnership with Eagle Eye and Flypay, the newly embedded functionality will incorporate Flypay’s Pay at Table and Bar Tab services across all Mitchells & Butlers’ branded apps by the end of year, including Stonehouse, All Bar One, Toby Carvery, Nicholson’s and Harvester. The app will also enable guests to redeem vouchers and promotions all within one, easy to use platform – which is a first for the pub and restaurant industry.

Mitchells & Butlers is continuing to drive its digital innovation journey and is embracing that more, and more guests want the flexibility to pay for food and drink through mobile technology.

Chris Hopkins, Commercial and Marketing Director, Mitchells & Butlers said: “We’re seeking to make our digital apps a one-stop shop for all customer needs. The introduction of faster payments through Flypay and its integration with digital vouchers served by Eagle Eye is a significant step towards this end goal.”

Al Henderson, Sales Director, Eagle Eye, commented: “We’re delighted that our already valued partner, Mitchells & Butlers, is going live with Flypay. Our integration into their Flyt platform will enable the redemption of offers and promotions as well as payments, all from one place. This combination of both our technology platforms will ensure Mitchells & Butlers are able to offer their customers a seamless and convenient journey, whilst also making their internal operations a lot more efficient.”

Tom Weaver, CEO, Flypay, commented, “Following the initial announcement of our partnership with M&B back in May, we’re thrilled to be extending Flyt’s digital rails across the M&B estate of some 1,700 pubs, bars and restaurants.

'Through the latest wave of roll-outs due to take place, Stonehouse and All Bar One will leverage the partnership to offer Flypay’s Pay At Table and Eagle Eye’s Voucher Redemption to its customers.

'This is a perfect illustration of our collaborating, not competing ethos, connecting leaders in their fields – M&B, as the largest operator in the UK to adopt next generation mobile technology, Eagle Eye, the pioneers in digital promotions, and all via a common thread to deliver frictionless experiences to customers.”

Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery launched the new functionality in August and All Bar One follow suit later this month. The remaining Mitchells & Butlers’ portfolio will go live by the end of 2017.
