Honest Burgers secures £17m & plans new Bristol site

Burger restaurant chain Honest Burgers has secured a £17m refinancing deal from banking partner Santander, and plans to open a new 75-cover site in Bristol this year.

The group, which operates 25 mainly London-based outlets, opened its first site in Brixton in 2011. Beyond the capital, it has two sites in Cambridge and Reading.

Honest Burgers secured £7m investment from private equity firm Active Private Investment at the start of 2015, with plans to open five new sites in that year.

This year, the brand has launched a new restaurant in the Royal Festival Hall with 65-seats inside and 10 outside.

The company's kitchens use free range chicken, aged British beef, and market vegetables. All the burgers are served with the famous rosemary salted fries.

Beverages include cocktails, beer, cider and wine, as well as homemade soft drinks.
