Aramark has assumed full ownership of the CarillionAramark operating company which will continue to provide services to the DIO for the duration of the existing Hestia contracts in respect of the south-east and London, Scotland and Northern Ireland and north regions.
Aramark will continue to deliver soft facilities management services, including catering, retail and leisure, together with hotel and mess services.
Under the south-east and London contract, Aramark will continue to service 87 key Defence sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and central and Greater London. The initial contract went live at the beginning of September 2017 and employs over 1,800 people.
This contract has the potential to generate in excess of £200m across the initial contract period of five years, based on retail revenue projections.
The North contract employs around 1500 people, covering 130 military establishments and went live at the beginning of January 2018. The Scotland and Northern Ireland Region contract went live at the beginning of November 2017 and covers a further 103 military establishments and employs around 1,030 people.
The Scotland and Northern Ireland and north regions contracts have a core revenue value of £158m over the initial contract period of five years, but with the opportunity to double that figure in the same period through catering and retail sales.
