Harry Ramsden celebrates 90th year with major promo, new menu & opening

Harry Ramsden is celebrating its 90th year and National Fish and Chip Day by launching its largest consumer promotion in decades. It is also unveiling its new menu nationwide as well as officially opening its next chapter outlet in WestQuay, Southampton.

As Britain’s longest established restaurant chain, Harry Ramsden’s has been serving the highest quality fish and chips to families for generation so building on this success, the brand will mark National Fish and Chip Day with a week-long, nationwide customer treat with almost £20,000 of free fish and chips up for grabs over the next 7 days for guests served with a bespoke Golden Fork!

Across the UK, Harry’s has introduced a whole new way to serve its sustainably sourced fish with a new range of innovative menu items now sitting proudly alongside classic favourites. In something of a departure for the brand, not only are a host of new flavour choices available, they are also served with spicy rice! Sri Lankan (Fish Curry), Peri Peri, Spicy Jerk, Cajun (fishbites) and Applewood and Smoked Haddock fishcakes are just some of the items making their debut on Harry’s new summer 2018 menu.

Long associated with the seaside, Harry’s provenance is very much on show at WestQuay. In a natural progression for the brand, the Southampton outlet is awash with ocean and aquamarine blues and rich shrimp pinks colour schemes, reflecting Harry’s seaside heritage. Its most famous dish, Fish and Chips, is celebrated with a fun, tongue in cheek colour scheme which includes ketchup red, pea greens and chip golds!

CEO Tom Crowley noted, “90 years is a landmark few companies reach, so we see it as a cause for celebration. We are looking forward to the ongoing evolution of Harry Ramsden’s and are excited to open the next chapter of what is clearly a national love affair with Britain’s longest established restaurant brand.”
