Samworth Brothers is seeking permission to expand its Bradgate Bakery sandwich production facility on Ashton Green, Leicester by 4,000 sq m, with the creation of 150 jobs.
The expansion would provide extra production room for processing ingredients, packing and chilling space.
Bradgate Bakery produces sandwiches, prepared salads and other chilled foods for some of the UK’s leading supermarkets.
The Ashton Green facility opened in September 2014 and is the adjacent sister bakery to the Madeline Road bakery.
