McColl’s Retail Group, which has around 1,600 convenience stores and newsagents, has opened its 21st 'Fresh Forward' Subway concession in McColl's Buxton.
The new Fresh Forward design highlights freshly prepared ingredients. It includes new vegetable displays with whole tomatoes, green peppers, onions and cucumbers that are sliced daily, plus new bread and cookie displays.
The decor is bright and colourful, inspired by fresh vegetables and new digital menu boards have been installed.
The new concession is already proving hugely popular and on the opening afternoon over 300 customers were served.
The group's partnership with Subway is a key element of its growing food-to-go offer and has plans to open more concessions in the months ahead.
