Travelodge opens two Lincolnshire hotels with first SuperRooms for county

Travelodge is celebrating 30 years in Lincolnshire by opening two new hotels in the county this November, boosting the company’s portfolio to 10 hotels in the area.

Gainsborough Travelodge, which was officially opened today, is the town’s first branded budget hotel and the company’s 569th Travelodge and rooms are available from £29.

Situated opposite Marshall’s Yard, Gainsborough Travelodge is a purpose built 56-room hotel with access to car-parking. It represents an investment of £4m for the landlord, Dransfield Properties and has created 16 new jobs within the community.

The other opening will be situated in Lincoln City Centre, next to the railway station, it will be Travelodge’s flagship location in Lincolnshire and its second hotel in the city.

Lincoln City Centre Travelodge, a 127-room hotel with an on-site restaurant called Bar Café, represents an investment of £14m for third party investors. It will also be the first Travelodge hotel in Lincolnshire to offer SuperRooms (pictured with CEO Peter Gowers), the company’s premium economy room concept.

This new class of room brings the ‘premium economy’ concept familiar to airline users to the UK budget hotel market. It is the first of its kind in the UK budget hotel market and dials up the comfort factor with a concept designed especially for business and leisure customers who want the extra choice of a more premium room.
