Former Oakman Inns manager becomes Hippo Inns ops director

Hippo Inns, a collection of 12 London pubs founded by Rupert Clevely, announces the appointment of Adrian Laws as its new Operations Director.

Laws joins the group, opening its twelfth site The White Haus in Farringdon next week, after spending over three years as Area Manager of Oakman Inns.

Prior to Oakman Inns, Laws was previously a General Manager at Big Easy and Browns, Mayfair. He has also held a number of management roles including General & Openings Manager at The Fox and Hounds, The Windmill (Premium Country Dining Group), The St. George & Dragon and Thames Riviera Hotel.

Laws will play a key role in the continued growth of Hippo Inns and be responsible for day-to-day operations, as well as enhancing service standards across the group.

He replaces Hossey Saghri, who has held the role since 2016.

Rupert Clevely said, “Hossey leaves with our very best wishes and I hope we can work together in the future. Adrian brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector and joins us at a very exciting time.”
