Stockport-based Robinsons, the family brewer and pub operator, has announced the renovation of one of its most recent pub acquisitions; the Four Alls, Caernarfon, which was purchased by the brewery in November 2017.
The pub has now reopened following an intensive two-month refurbishment, transforming it from a dilapidated pub to one with high character and charm.

The pub is located within the medieval walls of the old Caernarfon; a major draw for thousands of tourists across the world who visit the famous castle. The Four Alls spans two major streets located opposite the main castle entrance, the Hole in the Wall Street and Palace Street.
The building appears to be Georgian but is believed to be much older. The ‘Four Alls’ acquired its name based on the four universal aphorisms of the king, the priest, the soldier and the ordinary man, whereby the king rules for all, the priest prays for all, the solider fights for all and the ordinary man pays for all.
Robinsons have restored the pub to a high standard, retaining the Welsh feel and creating a pub that is now a destination for visitors and locals that is smart, interesting and comfortable.
The configuration of the pub layout and external courtyard have been completely refreshed. The pub now stands out to passers-by with a new Georgian frontage, fresh pictorial signs alongside new signage in line with Robinsons brand guidelines. Access to the beer garden has also been made easier with new doors, new metal gates, external lighting, and a covered canopy.
Inside, the pub has been completely overhauled from top to bottom. Original stone walls have been exposed and restored to enhance the traditional Welsh heritage feel, together with the installation of solid oak floorboards and flagged floors. The pub’s new colour scheme combines red leather detail, red high gloss panelling, tiled key elevations and oak clad ceilings, all softened by antique Persian rugs, traditional printed floral fabrics, rustic tables and chairs.
Many areas of the pub have been broken up into cosy pockets, that provide separate snug rooms for customers to relax. The removal of a structural pier in the centre of the pub has allowed a clearer vision throughout. Feature high level tables and elevated seating in the window allows customers to watch the world go by and an improved view into the pub.
Open fires and a new lantern light bring warmth and light into the heart of the pub. Eclectic bric-a-brac of antique armour helmets and breast plates offer a nod to the history of the town and of course the castle.
A stunning new bar is going to be a key draw for customers, alongside a clearer and more defined display showcasing the expanded product range.

The Four Alls’ product range has been enhanced significantly with an improved range of gins, wines and beers. The pub also serves an array of delicious pub favourites, such as pie of the day, scrumptious homemade burgers and a variety of mouth-watering hot and cold sandwiches.
