Costa launches new food & beverage menu

Costa Coffee is starting the New Year with a new food and drink menu to help ease the January blues.

Vanilla Latte | Alternative options
Costa has re-imagined Vanilla Latte to be enjoyed three ways – the Vanilla Coconut Latte, Vanilla Almond Latte and Vanilla Lactofree Latte. This smooth winter warmer is packed full of flavour and all three variants of the Vanilla Latte is now available.

Costa Coffee is now the only high street coffee shop in the UK to offer a Lactofree Milk with the two new additions taking its impressive portfolio of milk options to seven, offering customers a range of dietary preferences and tastes even more choice. The milk range also provides a variety of delicious flavour varieties, giving customers even more ways to enjoy great coffee.

Tasty Treats | Delicious desserts to keep January blues at bay
Costa is staying true to its roots with the Coffee, Walnut & Pecan Cake – three layers of soft coffee sponge with an irresistible coffee infused icing and topped with walnuts and pecans.

Also new and available until April is an Easter-themed treat that will have kids and adults alike jumping for joy. The Hopping Bunny Gingerbread is a lightly spiced seasonal biscuit.

The Orange, Pistachio & Polenta Cake is back by popular demand. Made with ground almonds and polenta, and injected with tangy orange curd, it has a wonderful balance of bitter and sweet. Also returning is the Lemon Curd Tart, which is now zestier than ever.

Breakfast and Lunch | New year, new sandwiches
Costa Coffee is revolutionising its lunchtime options with the introduction of three new classic sandwich flavours, including British Smoked Ham & Cheese, British Roast Chicken & Bacon and Pole & Line Tuna & Sweetcorn.

The Free Range Egg Mayonnaise Sandwich has also had a makeover, with the new recipe ensuring the same great taste but a more affordable price point for customers. All new sandwiches are available from Thursday 10 January.

Another product with a new recipe for 2019 is the Veggie Breakfast Pot. This high in protein breakfast is made up of baked beans, free range scrambled eggs, roasted mushrooms and cheddar cheese, and now provides customers with one of their recommended five a day.

Completing the savoury line up for January are some returning favourites including the Chicken & Bacon Toastie, Brie & Bacon Panini, Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil Panini plus the fan-favourite Mac & Cheese will all be back on shelves.

Breakfast Meal Deal | Pastries for just £1
January can be a frugal time for many, but Costa Coffee is helping customers out with the introduction of a new addition to the Coffee Plus Menu. Pastries, including the All Butter Croissant, Pain Aux Raisin and Chocolate Twist are now just £1 with the purchase of any medio or massimo hot drink or Flat White before 11am (Ts&Cs apply).

Costa Coffee’s two previous breakfast meal deals will be continuing into January too, meaning customers can purchase a British Beechwood Smoked Bacon Roll or a Scrambled Egg & Mushroom Muffin for just £2 with the purchase of any medio or massimo hot drink or Flat White until 11am

A spokesperson at Costa Coffee said, “There’s a huge growing trend for vegan and free-from products, and the introduction of Almond Drink and Lactofree Milk will ensure our customers have as much choice as possible and that everybody is catered for.”

“We’ve also brought in some fantastic new breakfast and lunch options to ease the pain of heading back to work after the Christmas break and hopefully our delicious cakes, and sweet treats can make January a little bit more enjoyable too!”

Costa Coffee’s new January menu is now in stores, with sandwiches in stores a week later on Thursday 10 January.
