Polpo puts two restaurants on market

The founders of the Polpo mini-chain, Russell Norman and Richard Beatty have put Polpo in Notting Hill Gate and Polpetto in Soho on the market.

The 5,400 sq ft, 120-seater Polpo in Notting Hill Gate, which opened in May 2014, has been put on the market for £220k.

Off-shoot branded site, Polpetto, the 70-cover eatery on Berwick Street, is on the market with a £395k price tag.

Polpetto originally opened in 2010 as a 23-seater occupying the first floor of the French House pub on Dean Street, and stayed there for two years with Florence Knight at the helm.

If both sites sell, this will leave Polpo with four London restaurants in Chelsea, Covent Garden; Soho (Beak Street), Smithfield, and one in Brighton. The business also has Spuntino in Soho and Heathrow Airport.
