BII to appoint new COO

The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) has today announced the start of a search for a Chief Operating Officer.

The new COO will be responsible for the Farnborough HQ and oversee a strategy for the future ensuring the BII is modern and well placed to support the challenges facing licensees and staff in the hospitality industry.

Chairman Mark Robson said, “It is really important in any organisation that a good succession plan is in place. Mike Clist came to the BII 3 years ago with the intention of staying for 3-6 months while they sought a new CEO.

“Three years on it is now time to seek someone to succeed Mike and allow him to plan his retirement which he planned to do back in 2016.

'Mike will continue in his full-time role until the new COO is appointed and then carry out the CEO’s role on a part time basis to assist the new COO with managing the transition and the BII’s relationships with their key companies and bodies until mid to late 2020”.

Anyone interested should contact Mike Clist for more details.
