Drake & Morgan opens new London City bar & restaurant


Nestled in the heart of London's business centre at Lime Street, moments from Monument and Fenchurch Street stations, The Moniker bar and restaurant has been opened by Drake & Morgan.

Whether it’s for freshly ground coffee in the morning to provide that much needed boost, an important business lunch or a relaxing dinner with friends, The Moniker has Londoner’s drinking and dining needs covered.

There’s even cocktail making classes for those who want to test out their mixing and muddling skills, not to mention a stunning terrace for soaking up those rays and SKY TV for catching the latest sporting events.

Beyond the bar area and restaurant, the new opening also boasts a private dining room housing up to 14 guests.

The Moniker’s botanical cocktail menu features an enchanting selection of classics, sharers and absolute proofs (no alcohol).

For a refreshing summer tipple, The Pink Daisy is a delicious blend of Belsazar Rosé, elderflower cordial, grapefruit bitters and tonic. Or for guests preferring to go alcohol-free, Jasmine Dream is created with homemade chamomile syrup, mint, lemon, white peach and jasmine soda.

For parties of four, there's Banana Boat, which offers a tropical mix of Koko Kanu rum, Appleton Reserve rum, Wray & Nephew rum, Golden Falernum, banana, pineapple and lime!

An extensive range of wines, many by the glass, premium spirits, craft beers and ciders complete The Moniker’s varied and palate-pleasing drinks offering.

Open Monday to Friday for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner; The Moniker’s varied menu features small plates, sharing boards, gourmet sandwiches and burgers as well as an exciting range of seasonal salads.

Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for with healthy but satisfying dishes such as Crispy Chickpea Cake and a Grain Bowl packed with quinoa, wild rice, chia seeds, avocado, garden vegetables and vegan herb mayonnaise. For meat lovers, there's the must-try D&M Burger, Pulled Beef Brisket, and Crispy Duck Salad.

For sweet treats, diners can enjoy Lemon Meringue dessert cocktail, combining vanilla infused Ketel One vodka, limoncello, lemon curd, ?amed meringue and double cream.

There is also a children's menu, packed with crowd pleasers as well as complimentary Babyccinos and Hot Chocolate’s.

For early City starts, there’s an extensive array of breakfast dishes from the Full Works fry-up for the ravenous, to a more virtuous Avocado on Sourdough Toast with radish, lemon and herbs. Nutritious smoothies, luxurious teas and freshly ground coffee are also on offer to make sure the day gets off to the right start.

The Moniker is available for a whole range of different private events every weekend. From high-energy standing events for up to 200 to more relaxed seated lunches and dinners for up to 100, The Moniker provides an impressive space for entertaining.
