Sodexo retains City, University of London & adds Cass Business School


Sodexo has secured the catering contract with City, University of London for a further three years with the potential to extend up to five. The new contract also sees the catering services for Cass Business School added.

Sodexo has been the University’s catering partner since 2014 providing services at the main Northampton Square campus.

Sodexo is committed to providing and encouraging consumers access to healthy lifestyle choices, earlier this year Sodexo opened a Crussh outlet in the University’s main building in Northampton Square in London serving a wide range of Crussh’s healthy food and drinks from 8.30am through to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

As part of the new contract Sodexo will be relaunching the main restaurant with new offers including its Planted! street food offer, featuring Oumph!, a 100% plant based meat alternative made from soybeans, salt, water; and Dough & Go pizza. Starbucks coffee will be available from the University’s Courtyard Café.

The innovative social enterprise Change Please will remain at the university. Change Please is a coffee offer like no other providing support for the homeless with every cup of coffee they sell. The social enterprise is empowering the homeless community by providing them with full barista training, jobs paying London Living Wage and support with housing, bank accounts and mental wellbeing.

Sodexo will also be introducing kiosk ordering points specifically for Dough & Go pizzas and its Yardbird chicken offer to help alleviate long queues at peak times of these popular meal choices.

The new contract will also see Sodexo extend its services to Cass Business School’s Bunhill Row and Aldersgate sites where it will implement an offer which has been specifically designed to cater for the needs of the business school students, staff and visitors. This will include street food-style menus and cuisines from around the world.

The School is among the global elite and is consistently ranked amongst the best business schools and programmes in the world.
