Rooftop seafood restaurant with views to open in London


East London's latest hotel, The Hoxton in Southwark, is bringing with it a seafood restaurant, Seabird, with spectacular views over the Thames from the 14th floor when it opens on 6 September.

Joshua Boissy and Krystof Zizka from Premiere Enterprises, the award-winning duo behind top Brooklyn restaurant, Maison Premiere, are being brought on board to run Seabird.

The all-seafood eatery will feature a raw bar, with an ever-changing crudo menu alongside it. The Portuguese and Spanish influenced menu offers dishes such as Basque-style bouillabaisse - plateau de fruits de mer, Cornish plaice a la plancha with Morecombe Bay shrimps & capers, and Sardines on toast with harissa, rocket & lemon

Maison Premiere's Bar Director William Elliott has created the drinks off which comes with a focus on draught, bottled or frozen cocktails. Wines will be biodynamic from some of Europe’s best small-scale producers.

There will also be a terrace for outside dining complete with awnings and heaters for all-weather dining.
