Sodexo, the award-winning catering and events partner at Hampden Park, has just treated over 35 guests from the local community to a day of Christmas celebrations as part of the SPFL Trust’s Festive Friends initiative.
At the Hampden event, Sodexo provided the group with a seasonal three-course meal in the Lomond Suite consisting of a winter soup to start, followed by roast chicken and all the festive trimmings and Chef’s Christmas dessert to finish. Guests also received gifts to open plus entertainment throughout the day.
The event is part of a Scotland wide initiative by the SPFL Trust with 35 clubs from across the country hosting a Festive Friends party with Scotland’s National Stadium taking part for the first time this year. The events will run throughout December at participating stadiums and have been created for people in the local community who may be alone or isolated at Christmas, giving the special group the chance to attend a celebration surrounded by football family.

It can be lonely for those with few friends or family so we were delighted to provide members of our community with a three-course dinner, gifts and fabulous entertainment through the SPFL Trust’s Festive Friends event.
