Itsu unveils new hot food concept in EC3

Japanese counter-service and takeaway chain, Itsu has introduced hot food and self-service screens at a new concept outlet in Lime Street in the City of London, EC3.

Itsu has collaborated with Masterchef winner Tim Anderson on the new menu, which serves up breakfast dishes, such as bacon bao buns and miso poached eggs. There is also a range of warm salads, soup, rice and noodle bowls.

Customers can customise their orders, including an option to add extra protein, gyoza dumplings or falafel burgers via self-service kiosks.

The menu features spicy korean chicken rice bowl, veggie gyoza udon, detox miso noodle soup, and hoisin duck bao buns.

Founder Julian Metcalfe said, “Forty percent of orders made via the screens are customised in some way, which is why we plan to roll the concept out to around 23 more stores in the coming months.'

Itsu [hot] also features new waste bins and is using fewer sushi fridges as part of their move to becoming sustainable.
