Second London acquisition for Charles Wells and Yummy Pub Co

Charles Wells Pub Company has bought a London pub from Young’s to purposely operate with the Yummy Pub Company, making it their second joint venture together.

The Gorringe Park in Tooting, south London was bought for an undisclosed sum and becomes the fourth pub in operation for the Yummy Pub Company, the venture led by Tim Foster and Anthony Pender. The new joint venture becomes the second for the two companies, the first being the Somers Town Coffee House in Euston.

The Gorringe Park will now undergo a full refurbishment, of which a joint investment of £500,000 has been made on the works. A new cinema will be located on the lower ground floor, as well as a traditional ground floor bar and a series of upstairs function rooms including a library and an alchemy lab. Charles Wells Pub Company is expected to complete on the pub in late August and it will then close for eight weeks while refurbishment works are carried out.
