Former D&D London CFO moves to TGI Fridays


American casual dining chain, TGI Fridays has completed the line-up of its new UK executive team, with Alan Clark as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Clark has been CFO at D&D London since the end of 2018. He was previously finance director for Malmaison and Hotel du Vin and Rocco Forte Hotels in the UK. He was also CFO for The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, and Group CFO for Sandals Resorts International.

The group executive team has undergone several changes in late 2019/early 2020, led by the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, Robert B. Cook.

Prior to joining TGI Fridays UK, Cook was CEO UK of Virgin Active. A well-known figure and veteran of the UK Hotel sector, Cook is a Master Innholder and a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality with many years of expertise within the consumer leisure industry.

The new executive team also includes Dan Staples, Chief Marketing Officer; Tom Sycamore, Chief Operating Officer; Suzanne Peacock, People & Culture Director; Alyson Scott, Procurement, Supply Chain & Technical Director; and Trevor Peach, Operations Director.

The addition of Clark, combined with the changes made since December 2019, complete TGI Fridays UK group executive team.

“We now have in place a diverse team with a strong set of experience within the hospitality industry, paired with a good understanding of TGI Fridays as a brand. With a very challenging UK casual dining sector currently, the new executive team will have their work cut out.
